Jog-a-thon

 Garrett's class
 Clarissa cheering on!
Ryan's class
Funny class pictures from this year's jog-a-thon.  Of course, we had our little cheerleader this year!

First Day of School

The boys at the bike rack.  School is just 2/3 mile away so they are able to ride everday and love too!
Ryan in front of Ms.Todd's class.
Garrett in front of Ms.VanWagner's class.

First grade was off to a good start when we found out Ryan got Ms. Todd for his teacher!  She has been great and Ryan is blooming!  It is amazing how much they learn at so young.  Garrett has an awesome teacher too!  He has Mrs.VanWagner for traditional Kindergarten.  She has been wonderful with the kids and Garrett enjoys going each day.  Sure makes it easy for mom to get them to school!

Wedding #2

 Ryan goofing off!
Sam and Adrienne
Daddy and Clarissa
It was Sam and Adrienne's turn to get married.  We zipped back  up to Utah for a quick weekend to see the ceremony at the American Fork Temple.  It was a beautiful day.  Later that night was the reception.  Here's were I ended up taking only a few pictures. I am getting lazy about taking pictures these days.  I'm really lacking in photos!

Soccer - year #3 for Ryan; year #1 for Garrett

We got back from Utah just in time for soccer.  This year was a bit different because Garrett was playing. Ryan was on the Green Hornets and I think they unofficially called Garrett's team the Red Hots.  Garrett was able to have games and practice at the same time each week to learn more about the sport since it was the kids first year playing.  He did really well and still loves to put on the uniform 9 months later!  Ryan also had a good year playing on the same team as friends Steven Bryan and Andrew Palma.

Cousin's b-day Party

 Noah, Heidi, and Dallin
Sophia, Ryan, and Clarissa

Noah had a birthday party while we were visiting Utah last summer.  It was great excuse for the cousins up there to get together and play.  Of course, Heidi's decorations were awesome!  I can learn a lot from that woman!  Ginger's kids, mine, and Heidi's all had a great time.  I just wish we could do this more often!

Blue and White

BYU had a scrimmage just before the start of their season.  Many of my siblings and some of their kids made it with us.  We had a great time till we found out Ryan was missing.  Apparently, he was following the crowd out to the parking lot.  Like any other time (it really doesn't happen often,) it took just seconds.  Luckily, Ryan had recently memorized my cell phone number.  Some how the lady that found him found our area code and we were united all thanks to a stranger and the cell phone!  Congratulations Nathan and Matt, you made it on my blog!

Horse Riding

The boys could barely wait to go horse ridding with their cousin's Jake and Scott.  They were elated to be on top of the horses even if they were covered with hornets!  Ride 'em cowboys!

The 1st Wedding

There were three wedding held this summer withen about six weeks.  The first was Heidi and Josh's.  Notice the princesses got to take their picture together.  We sneeked in a family picture there too!

The Cabin

My dear friend, Jen, invited us to come along with her family to the Bartholomew cabin to spend the night.  The cabin was beautiful and in the middle of nowhere but not far from a little lake.  We rode ATV's, had smores, and watched movies.  It was such a great time!  Of course, nothing could top the company!  I really need to start taking more pictures of my friends.  I really do have a few!

BYU Dinosaur Museum

Found out there was a dinosaur museum at BYU just across the street from the football stadium.  We went with Ginger and her kids and a few of the Lyman cousins.  These are a few of the pictures.

Logan Temple

We went up to Logan to see our dear friends, the Humprey's, who moved up there from Camarillo earlier in the year.  I unfortunately didn't get a picture with them.  It was a quick trip there.  We did stop by to see the temple.  It was a beautiful day!

The Heber Creeper

Grandma Gibbs gifted us with a trip on the Heber Creeper.  It's an old train route that goes through the Prove Canyon.  When I say old, I mean it!  We had a great time watching the scenery and enjoyed the fun show they put on with a bandit that jumped on the train.  The best part of it was spending time with Ginger and her kids.  We hardly see them since they live in Boston.  I wish we could get together every summer!  Oh, yes, we also had fun with Mom and Maryanne!

Clarissa and Carly

Clarissa and Carly were passing off time at Jake's baseball game doing their nails.  Clarissa loves being around other "older" girls because she gets to really enjoy being her social self and doing all the girly things.  She loves to dress up in her princess dresses, cheerleading outfits, or one of my personal favorites is what she calls her "excerise" clothes.  She will often imitate me by making heavy breathing sounds while doing stretches.  It is totally funny!

Spanish Fork Rodeo 2011

Another exciting summer in Utah at the Spanish Fork Rodeo!  The kids love it because they can dress up like cowboys or a cowgirl (Clarissa.)   Who new how much fun it would be wearing boots and a hat.  We have a blast going with the Lyman cousins'.  We have started to make it a tradition to go in July around  Pioneer day for the rodeo, parades, and of course, all the family!

Clarissa at Giles Ranch

Our little girl always seems to have something to smile about.  One of her very favorite words is "happy." She says happy whenever the lights are on or the water is the perfect temp.  Here she is at our friends ranch with her friend Erica making one of her crazy smiles!
