Moorpark Zoo

 Ryan with the huge tortoise.
Ryan's first grade class went to Moorpark Zoo for a field trip.  He had a great time with his mom as a chaperrone.

PEEP

It was a great preschool year at PEEP.  She made lots of friends especially her new friend Makayla.  Here's a few pictures with her teachers, Ms. Kayla and Ms. Ford.

Career week at PEEP

Clarissa was so excited to have her Dad come in as a policeman to tell her friends at preschool what a cop does.  She stood by him most of the time.  Funny thing, in the past when Chris went for the boys, Chris would put Ryan or Garrett in the handcuffs to show the kids how they work.  Clarissa was so nervous and told him several times not to put her in handcuffs.  Of course, he didn't!  No to his princess girl!

Adam's academy graduation

Uncle Adam and Aunt Lora (baby Houston in tummy)
Here's the fam to celebrate the graduation.
Another graduation to celebrate with Uncle Adam and Aunt Lora.  I think the kids really enjoyed this one.  They saw so many police in uniforms in one place and nothing could be better to see their favorite, their own "Poppy!"

Disneyland

Dad likes to make a different face everytime he is on this ride!
We are here!  Hurry down before security catches up with us!
I think we once again when to Disneyland more times than we thought we would with our annual passes.  Everytime is a treat!  Fortunately, we are still getting away with taking snacks and lunch to the park so we don't have to spend more money on food.  The kids don't know any different.  Let's hope they never do!  The passes are do to expire soon but we won't renew because we have been priced out with the new higher prices plus I think we have been there enough the past 4 years!

Easter

 Annabelle
Clarissa and Kate (BTW...The swimsuit is Clarissa touch.  She is putting one on most days.  It use to be the princess dresses, now this.)
We had our usual Easter Egg hunt with the cousins along with the good food and company!

Garrett's outfits

Garrett gets all kinds of crazy ideas for uniforms he can put together.  This picture is just an example of one of them.  Here he is dressed like a hockey player.  Note the bike helmet, BYU football jersey, slippers for sliding, soccer socks for protection, skeleton gloves, and the sword as a stick.  Lately, since it's football season, he is using his knee and elbow pads as shoulder pads under his football jersey.  That boy is quite creative!

Baseball!!!

 The Cubs Team
Ryan's first year of baseball finally came!  I can't believe we survived this long!  He was so excited to play!  He would tell anyone who was listening or not about it.  He kept talking to Garrett telling him, "Aren't you excited you get to watch me play baseball."  One of the favorite was Chris telling him he was signed up to play and Ryan said, "You payed the $200 for me to play?  Thanks Dad!" Chris told him to not just thank him but thank his mom.  Ryan replied, "You paid $400 for me to play baseball."  Chris had to explain to him that the $200 was from both of us.  Ryan got to play a lot of 1st base and outfield spots and had several "home runs."  It was so fun to watch him play!

Spring Break - Arizona

We took in the Hoover Dam on the drive from Utah to Arizona.  Check out the bridge!  Pictures do not do it justice!
Don't we look lovely!  We had been in the car several hours already.  It was a welcomed break!

We had to take in a Chicago Cubs game since Ryan found out he was going to play on the Cubs team in Pony baseball.
Just thought it was a cute picture of Garrett.  I love that kid!
There they are waiting for the game to start.  We seems to seldom get a picture of Clarissa looking at the camera.  She is either goofing off or posing!

Since we headed up to Utah for the baptism of Uncle Mike we decided to go straight to our annual Arizona spring training trip.  Grandma Johnson joined us for the ride down.  She spent time with her sister and we took in a few games as usual.

Uncle Mike got baptized!

I really should have a picture of him on his baptismal day but I don't.  We made a trip to Utah for this once in a lifetime event to see Uncle Mike get baptized.  Who knew?  It was a beautiful baptism in March.  One thing I remember that I really thought was cool is a bishopbric member mentioned that there were others there at the baptism that we could not see because they have already gone to the other side of the vail.  At that instant, I felt my Dad was there.  The Spirit was sweet and what a great group of ward members showed up!

Chris's B-day

It's a party every year for the favorite Dad!  Chris gets his favorite carrot cake every year.  It's his favorite and I only make it once a year.  What's up with that?!!
